1. If you had the ability to compete in the Olympics, what event would you want to compete in?

Ice hockey. I've always loved the game, but alas, I lack even the most basic ability to skate. This might have been different had I grown up in the northern US where I was born, instead of the southern US where I, uh, grew up.

2. Growing up, what was your favorite comic strip?

Garfield. What can I say, I thought he was a funny cat. When I got a little older, Bloom County, although a lot of the humor probably still flew over my head.

3. Have you dreamed of flying, falling, or running? Describe your most vivid memory of one of these dreams.

I don't think I regularly dream of these things. However, I tend to forget my dreams upon awakening, so I could be wrong. One dream I know I have frequently is that I haven't been to some college class in weeks if not months, and the final is coming up and I'm going to fail - but then I remember I graduated college around 30 years ago.

4. Do you believe in an afterlife?

No. My belief is that when I die, that's it, and I'm not particularly concerned about what happens next, as I will be dead. (See also: the end of the world, which I hope happens long after the end of _my_ world.)

5. Do you have any advice, tips, or tricks for differentiating ignorance from malice?

No, but I wish I did. I try not to attribute to the latter what can be explained by the former, but this is not always easy and/or obvious.
