Welcome to my gopher site! I started work on this in July 2011. I like to use |

gopher because it is low resource, does the job,and it reminds me of the old |
|
days when I first started using the Internet and Unix. I could never fool |
|
myself into believing in commercialism of the Internet. Even though the |
|
Internet is now just a dumping ground for the advertisers, marketers, and |
|
abUSERs. The major benefit is the architecture which allows users to create |
|
our own content and can enjoy the technology the way we believe it should be |
|
realized. |

I use Linux and Unix for work and play. They are professional class operating |
|
systems for professional users. Even today it seems Linux is a best kept |
|
secret on the desktop. Linux may be popular with the masses as a "hidden OS" |
|
on cell phones or handheld PCs or what have you, but I seriously doubt you'll |
|
ever see Linux gain significant ground on the traditional desktop or laptop |
|
PCs. Frankly, it's probably better this way. |
