(Socially Distanced Brunch Wipeout)
September 29, 2020 | |
It's Tuesday evening, I've just emerged from the wake of having friends
over on Sunday for which I started preparing for on Friday. It's so much
work, and socializing just saps my energy. It was my friend S. and her bf
that I had over. The irony is that I'm pretty sure I get along with her
because she has a distant personality, and she's fun to do activities
with, like to go concerts and such. But, my partner found them dull to sit
around with in the yard and talk, no surprise, it's exactly the opposite
of her role in my life. | |
Regardless, it was a nice to break up the never ending blur of work and
natural and political disasters with something, anything else. And I've
seen S. go through so much shit in her life that I'm happy to see her
happy. And happy that she can see me doing well. It's a mutual assurance
that not everything is downhill in life.
The most amusing post visit conversation was when my partner noted that S.
had nice breasts. I acknowledged that they existed, and were sizable, but
replied that I wasn't going to pass the compliment on.
