The new pygopherd server generated some glitches!

In gopher, HTML links don't work as before; I could external links
only get running with the Path=/URL:http://... link entry, and the
Numb=.. entry seems to be out of order - it simply gets ignored,
and entries are ordered alphabetically.
This is quite annoying. I did not need additional functionality of
pygopherd (UMN gopherd was fine for me), and now I have additional
work. And if "they" don't find a workaround, EVERY SDF gopher user
has to adapt her files!

Hah! pygopherd does not serve correctly a PDF file when its permissions are
755 - one has to set them to 750. Bizarre.. or stupid?

pygopherd apparently is deactivated and the old gopherd online again
(there were some hacking attacks it seems)

pygopherd is running again - and after some offline time, gopher is working

Finally, pygopherd has been taken out of production on SDF, and the
standard gopherd is up again.
I always preferred it anyway, as I don't need the http port and stuff...
so I am very fine with that decision!
