For a long time, I've been rather unhappy with my consumption of sugar,
real and digital version. I've got a sweet tooth, am probably way above
the recommended daily intake values for sugar, and that's bad on the
long run. I'm also reading too many unnecessary newsletters and
mailings, with the typical fear of missing out something. It's a long
time I did not read a good book, on the other hand. Both types of
"instant gratification" I like a lot, therefore it's not easy to "just
consume less".
I already tried various ideas, and here comes another one: as I want to
write more as well, I reactivated my glog/phlog script, and therefore
_whenever I have a craving to eat or read sugar, I will write._
Writing (or coding) is also slightly more creative than consuming...
Obviously, all electronic texts require some sort of computer for
reading, and so of course I also can write instead of reading a greasy
newsletter. About the sugar, we'll see: most often I'll have a tablet
or smartphone with me though, so it should be possible as well.
