Trains and Other Random Stuff

Had a nice trip to Palm Springs yesterday. It was hot, which is to be
expected. My friend who drove me out there is on the autism spectrum,
and he enjoys his time with me. That's a sign of progress.

On the way back, I took the train. I usually pay the extra $10 for
better "business class" seating. I found a seat, and thought it was
odd that the staff kept waiting on me, much more so than usual. At
Union Station, I decided to change seats, and that's when I noticed a
sign indicating that the seat I was in was for employees.

Moved to another car with the same seating and discovered way better
seats with more leg room. Unfortunately, I only had a half hour left
in my journey.

My friend Hector was picking me up from the train station. I was
talking with one of the other passengers when Hector pulled up. The
possibility crossed my mind that I might be hallucinating again, so I
asked Hector if he could see the guy I was talking to. He laughed and
said, "That's funny." He finally said that he could see him.

Back at work today, mostly just finishing off one website and
starting on another. They want me to create a site, but decided not
to give me any content. They have instructed me to copy material from
other sites to put on theirs. I thought this was just for a mock-up,
so I was okay with that, but now it turns out they intend this site,
with the lifted material, to be the final site. Nice. I suppose
that's what you call plausible deniability. And so, I will produce
something in writing that states the site is a mock-up only and
contains copyrighted material from other sites, and is therefore not
intended to actually be used until it is modified to contain only
original works.

Had an orange juice at Yummy Donut this morning. The golfer guy was
there again, but in a slightly different outfit. Still looked
golfer-esque, though. He might actually be real. And a few other
regulars. Had a donut that wasn't so yummy, but the ones covered in
chocolate glaze are tolerable. The glaze covers up the weird taste of
whatever it is they fry the donuts in.

I am analyzing my mental state as of late, and have noticed that
hallucinations seem to get worse NOT when I'm tired, but when I'm
rested, and NOT later in the day, but early in the morning.

I have also thought that there might be some correlation with
medication. I'm not currently taking anything that might cause those
kinds of problems (I've finished the course of antibiotics from
India), but I have taken psychotropic medications in the past. Who
knows.

Listened to a song this morning that I hadn't heard in a while. "I
Knew The Bride When She Used To Rock & Roll" by Nick Lowe. Good
stuff. I highly recommend listening to it at high volume.
