It's probably nothing to the average *nix person but, for a bumbling idiot like me, getting Ubuntu up and running on a Macbook Pro from 2017 - including suspend and resume - feels pretty cool.
Also, I looked everywhere for a complete (or mostly complete) document on how to do this, but only found fragments. So I wrote one. I hope it helps someone.
