Installed FreeBSD for the first time today. Actually, this
is the first time I've installed a BSD at all, I'm not
sure why. I've used Linux since the mid 90s, with Slackware
3.x....

In any case, so far it has been a real pleasure. The
install was fast and easy. I downloaded the DVD, but I see
now that wasn't really necessary. The base system was setup
in a few minutes, and pkg has been easy to learn. So far
all of my desktop-class hardware has been detected. My wifi
was setup during the basic install.

Looking forward to learning more.
