"The Simpsons" taught me life. I've met several people who don't like it.
"It's a stupid show". Sure, whatever. All shows are stupid, honestly. Tell
you what though, I'd
rather watch The Simpsons over redneck duck hunters or Armenian whores any
day.

Anyway, I learned a lot about social interactions, current events, and society
in general (not just the US) over the years by watching this cartoon. It isn't
always funny of course, but it doesn't have to be. It often makes the viewer think.
That's probably the biggest thing. Entire networks are dedicated to turning humans
into potatoes; they *discourage* thinking.

I just watched another two episodes. It's really no surprise that it lasted for so
many years. It's a better parent than my parents and frankly better than  most other parents
I have ever met.

[Three Good Things]
+ made good chamomile tea (brand is Davidson's, bought from Amazon, turned out pretty good)
+ finished work early
+ watched a decent cartoon and laughed a bit
