There are more and more new train wagons here. Everything is clean and comfortable. Air conditioning is the new standard. You are able to buy a ticket in a mobile app by ApplePay. You are able to trace any train to check any disturbances. Years ago trains didn't have water in dirty or devastated toilets. The only thing which is changing very slowly is the speed of travel. There are lines which are faster than any car on the same route on a motorway and which are taking less time than whole travel by plane. But there are also lines where average speed is lower than 80-100km/h and travel could take the same time as intercontinental flight from Europe to New York.
