Alright, now that I'm starting poke around SDF a little more I figured I'd write a phew things. Not sure if this is even a phlog or how that's diffent than just a hosted file.
I made a little script that checks for new Phlogs and put it in a cron job to run every three hours.

It was a fun little project where I learned a little bit more about cron jobs and how I needed to hook into the right dbus session and display to get the dunst desktop notification to display properly.
I've been jamming out quite a bit to this anonradio because it's music that I wasn't spoon fed by an algorithim. I feel that youtube is overly crafted to what I like and I get into an echo chamber of the stuff I already like. That being said I started another website with my son: summering.org that I host off a debian box with Mixx that I can remote into and be a cool dj guy. It went pretty smooth other than it not playing on Safari at the getgo but after a million restarts and different configurations we got it working. It turned out to be the silly dj software Mixxx.
The radio really makes me want to start podcasting again but not for podcatchers just for my radio. I want to eventually hook it up to mysql with tagged songs but for now I'm just going to put what we want to listen to in the car and stuff and maybe do a little radio podcasting with my son. I was thinking I could always just record it too and put it up on my YouTube.
I'm going to keep plouncing around, good song just came on, music is the best!
