Day 4 Natsu 2021

Spectators have returned! Limited to 5,000 but the noise makes a
difference.

Ishiura was a force of slap waves against Akisayama. After that failed
to shift Akisayama, Ishiura found himself in a left arm grip but he
managed to wiggle out, give a slap before forcing Akisayama to hit the
clay.

We ended up with a torinaoshi (rematch) in the match between Akua and
Daiamami. The first match ended up with a nasty fall for the pair with
Daiamami seemingly hitting his lower back on the edge and then finding
Akua on top of him. However, he comes out top with Akua charging like
a bull and then falling over.

Kotonawaka had a good match against Tamawashi. They hit high with
Kotonowaka controlling Tamawashi through out until he was able to push
Tamawashi out. Not spectular in performance but nicely done.

Terutsuyoshi lost against Kagayaki. The short salt thrower tried hard,
attacking low and constantly but ultimately lost through momentum.
Kagayaki moved at the right time to send Terutsuyoshi flying to the
ground. Think angry small yappy dog really.

Chiyonokuni is kyujo. Hopefully he recoperates soon!

Takayasu faced the commentator's favourite rikishi to call out,
Wakatakakage. It took longer to say Wakatakakage than it did for
Takayasu to lose.Takayasu's arms were flayling around while
Wakatakakage kept firm and pushed onwards. Nice win for him.

Shodai got an easy win against Tobizaru. At 3-1, it feels like Shodai
should clear kadoban status without too much hassle.

Terunofuji is not messing around. He managed to force Mitakeumi out
through sheer brute strength. Mitakeumi has no chance.

Well today left just one undefeated rikishi - Terunofuji. There are 14
who have a single loss. I almost skipped watching today's matches
thanks to working far too late. Thankfully I did not. It has been a
good day for sumo.
