I voted today in my various local elections today. The vote was in the
Guild House. A nice old building which has to be from 1500s with
timber frames. It made a change from the usual school hall. As ever, I
questioned why my local polling centre was not the closest to my
house. There is a British Legion club a minute or so away from my
house which is used for a polling centre. Instead I have to schlep my
way down into the village. Madness I tell you! However, it does give
me a good excuse for a walk at least. I did enjoy my being able into
the Guild House after admiring it for so long.
I am back in the office tomorrow for a strategy review session. It
promises to involve some horrific team bonding affair with 2 truths
and a lie needing to be prepared. At least it is sociable and we
should be able to visit the pub afterwards for a shivering drink
outside.
