Workers unite! Well something like that has to be said on May day.
Although I did not contribute much to worker's rights today by going
shopping for food. As ever with a British bank holiday weekend, the
weather involved rain. So I spent the rest of the day playing with
SDF. Well it is a good excuse to learn some more bits about working
with a remote server. I managed to get SSHFS working without too much
hassle which was nice. I have also managed to work out how to link
back to the SDF gopher page. This involved a lot of effort thanks to a
lack of real information in a form which I can comprehend. I often
find these tutorials are presented in a manner which causes me to not
understand it for a while. However, with a bit of playing with the SDF
gopher site gophermap file I was able to work it out. I am getting
better with this malarky. I have also been playing with nano config
files to try and ensure my gopher files have the right column width. I
now swap the config depending on whether I am writing gopher files or
other file types all automatically. The next step will be to add a
'last updated' indicator to show the title of the last updated file
and when it was updated. However, it is 1925 UTC and that means I only
have 5 minutes to get ready to join the Dubious Goals Committee on
AnonRadio. All hail our chairman, Tob and his golf ball fascination.
