Today involved some rain. It was nice after so many hot and dry days.
Tuesdays are Scout night. I am a Scout leader and it is a lot of fun. It
is still weird returning to face to face. They grow so much over lockdown.
I failed to recognise a couple.more Scouts this time. We did some reminder
map work to get sorted with Six Summits, a challenge which normally
involves walking some 46 miles in 3 days. Sounds ok until you see the
hills involved. The main event is not happening this year but they are
offering a virtual challenge we can do individually or as a group. I also
had Explorers. They are the 14 to 18 year olds. We did the same thing with
them as a whole. They tend to forget more than the Scouts! Standing for 4
hours is something I am not used to. My feet throb. It is a happy throb
though. Work was comical with demand changes. Many fed up people. Howevwr
I did have a lovely chat with a supplier I had not met before but will be
working with. That was a nice change.
