16 nov 2023 * 17:50, train home / when you were a tadpole and i was a fish

i lost my lunchbox on my way to work this morning and its riding the train forever.
im very tired and already looking forward to the weekend. im reading 'detransition,
baby!' when i feel ike reading, i watch mr robot when i feel like watxhing something
when i am alone.

my roommate who is my best friend is not doing well, and when i'm at work i can
read her tweets in which she says so. i talk to her in the evenings but its not as much as it
used to be when i worked from home too and i feel like im failing her. on friday we are going to the
cinema to watch the new Hungergames.

i have been listening to 'when you were a tadpole and i was a fish' by julie andrews
and kermit the frog a couple of times and i wanted to share it on here too. i always
feel like we've all been here since the beginning and have always known each other.

when you were a tadpole
and i was a fish
when the whole world had barely begun

(as far back as that?)
(hm)

i saw you swim by
with a smile in your eye
and i loved you from that moment on

(thats a lovely thought)

and through all the changes
from fins into fingers
i longed from the day you would be
the sweet loving person you'd finally become
from that far away day in the sea
and my first wish

(whats that?)

that you'd love me too
cause i loved you since
you were a tadpole and i
was a fish

(aw, that really is a lovely song)
(aw im glad you like it kermit)
(its a little bit fishy but
no i really love it though
and i love when you sing it)

im so glad that you loved me too
cause i loved you since you were a tadpole
and i was
a fish
