I like the simplicity of gopher. It's just links of text. And there is a set structure that is easy to navigate.
HTML is not like this, it is too unstructed.

Also, a gopher site is not likely to be read by most people or indexed by Google. I like that. It's like a secret
place that is accessible but hidden.
