February 12th, 2018:

Didn't get much accomplished this weekend.  Mrs. IPX and my
mother-in-law had a "Girls' Day Out" Saturday at the local outlet mall, so
I watched Sesame Street DVDs all day with our daughter.  Sunday was spent
lounging around, as we were all feeling under the weather.

I did manage to dig my old external Firewire hard drive out of the lab,
and hooked it up to my Powerbook to see what I had on it.  Not much, I'm
afraid, mostly stuff I had backed up on DVDs.  I don't think there was a
single interesting thing on the drive, other than space I can use.

I also found a box labelled "Vitally Important Sun Parts" which,
incidentally, contained exactly that: parts for my Sun Ultra 5
workstation.  While already running like a top, I'd bought a few things to
make the machine a little more useful.  I'll elaborate in a future post.

For a guy who's put his computer hobby on the backburner, I certainly have
a few irons in the fire...
