Seriously, I need to update this phlog more often than I do. Once
we're settled in our new place, and my systems are set up again, perhaps
I'll find the time...
I've done a cull of my computer systems since my last update.
I've gone from over a hundred or so computers to about a dozen (ie the
ones I absolutely *had* to keep). I thought I'd be more upset than I am,
but truth told, it was a bit of a relief... it'll mean a lot less
overhead, a lot fewer systems gathering dust, and a lot more attention can
be paid to the dozen I still want to keep.
As far as site updates go, I've posted a new entry in The Model
100 Diaries. I installed the Virtual T emulator on my PC at work, so I'd
have something to do on my lunch hours (rather than bringing my real Model
100 with me), and I'm having a bit of fun with it. I'll have to spend a
bit of time playing with the emulator so I can mimic my actual Model 100,
that way any work I do in the emulated environment can be moved over to my
real Model 100 and continued with minimal fuss.
Once I get THAT done, I'm planning to set up the XTRS emulator on
my Linux laptop so I can do a bit of development for my TRS-80 Model 4p.
My real Model 4p is still lacking a hard drive, so I figured I'd set up an
emulated system (with emulated HD) for development purposes. Probably a
lot quicker that way, too...
