I have been contemplating this question lately.  Is it time spent
with my kids? Time spent with my wife? When I lay my head down
on the pillow to sleep? When I go to a guitar lesson? Can I even
distill it down to one thing?

What if I say my wife? How true would that be.. When you have been
married for multiple decades you tend to know each others shit
inside and out. It's a comfortable feeling most of the time, but
with that much time, getting on each others nerves happens.

What if I say my kids? The majority of the time I would say
this is true. But there are those times when it takes every last
ounce of patience to not be driven over the edge. Oh I have three
zeros in that class? Oh its thirty minutes last my bedtime and
I still haven't blow dried my hair? That's a problem?  Yeah it's
a problem.

What if I say it's my 28 minutes of me time? Well to be honest, I
love going to my weekly guitar lesson ; the only time I feel angst
is when I havent practiced enough and that's all on me.

So what is it?  Sadly I don't think I can say any one thing is
the best part of my week.  I'd rather say that it's everything
else that makes these times a challenge that are the worst part of
my week.

I have to say that adult reality isn't what I thought it would be
back all those years ago when I graduated college.  There is much
more monotomy and tedium than I ever expected.
