In april of 1997, the first incarnation of the Time Travelers played on
Bleecker Street, NYC. This line-up included drummer Andy Guida, guitarist
David Wood, and a friend of Andy's, Jordan Pontell, on bass. A handful of
music videos were made and broadcast on local cable on a program called
Video City, which now airs on "The WB". There was a festival upstate
where the Time Travelers performed heroically.
Sean's influences over time include Thomas Dolby, Prince, the Police,
Jellyfish, Kings's X, Rush, Queen, and Cheap Trick. That is the short
list.
The Time Travelers' sound is powerpop decorated with funk, ska, jazz and
hard rock. Live, all songs segue into the next without interuption.
