I used to have a few gopher CGI (aka gopher mole) scripts on my SDF gopher
site. One displayed the latest weather for my area, one was my phlogging
script slerm, and one generated a random Firefly quote every time it was
loaded.

Since the mole capability was taken away from us some time ago here at SDF,
I opted for a semi-automated, cron-based solution for at least the latter
script. So every hour, the /firefly_quips.txt file gets updated with a new
Firefly quote.

My old phlog I converted to a static one using a perl script I hacked
together, then just linked to the static pages in my main gophermap.
