I hope everyone is having a good holiday season! I've been perusing
gopherspace today and have a reply to sysdharma@sdf, who has a new
phlog [0] - welcome to the phlogosphere!

In one of his phosts he wonders how we reply to each other [1]. The
easiest way is just like I'm doing now, or of course you can always
send an email to the phlog maintainer. Sometimes I'll comment on the
emails I get from readers, completing the circle. The drawback with
either method is that, as papa says, they take more effort
[2]. Still, sometimes I think we're too quick to 'fire and forget' a
quick reply to something online. The email or phost reply fits in
well with the more considered nature of gopherspace.

The other way is to use something like slerm [3][4] that allows
commenting on phlogs, but not many people are using slerm or
software like it.
