Covid-19 has resigned us all to making our own fun at home. I know most folks are taking the time do catch up on things they want to watch on the various streaming services, but I've been wanting to revisit the X-Files for a while. As the pandemic rages on and we get closer to Winter, this seemed like a good time to rewatch it from a 2020 perspective. There are (quite literally) tens of thousands of pages, blogs and wikis dedicated to the X-Files and I can guarantee that all of them are better written and more thorough than this section of the phlogosphere; I'm aiming just to observe the episodes that fall outside the story-arc - the "Monster of the Week" episodes are they're colloquially known. Basically, this will boil down to me pointing out things like 'holy crap 90's suits were baggy!' and 'my god I'm glad we don't have CRT monitors anymore'. It's an exciting prospect to me just for the 'time capsule' aspect of watching through these.
