2 cups milk;
2 teaspoons cornstarch;
1/2 cup sugar;
3 egg yolks, beaten;
3 egg whites, beaten stiff;
1 tablespoon sugar;
2 cups beer.

Scald milk, do not boil. Mix cornstarch and sugar, add
yolks and blend thoroughly before stirring slowly into
the milk. In a seperate pan scald the beer. Combine
with milk mixture. Add 1 tablespoon sugar to beaten egg
whites and heap by tablespoon on top of soup
