Recently I've been exposed to the theory that reality is subjective. The idea can be best described by the tale of the blind men. The tale is
about several men who are blind, and they stumble upon an elephant. They each feel a different part of the elephant, and due to that think that
the animal is several different things. One man describes it as a snake after touching the tail, while another says it's a fan due to it's ears.
The theory I've heard is like that, but imagine two men touch the ears, and one describes it as a cloth while the other describes it as a fan.
The difference is that instead of them all touching different parts of the same thing, they touch the exact same part of the exact same object.
I guess that is the difference between it all. I told my father, but he showed me the church's view of it, but instead of the church saying
"Everyone is not seeing the whole truth" (kind of arrogant tbh) the theory is "Everyone is seeing the same thing differently". My dad isn't open
to this type of discussion, so I guess I'll talk about it on here, with old people who can give me advice without religious bias.
