Gopher is feedom.  Freedom from marketing, freedom from graphics and
movies and talking.  Freedom from the cyber megalopolis that is the world
wide web.  Gopher is low power green information, Gopher makes you use
words to express yourself.  Oh sure you can download pictures and other
files.  But in the gopherspace text is king.  I love the quiet of
Gopherspace, I love the imagination that it lets me use.  Today, in a
world of video games, porn, and movies that leave nothing to the
imagination, Gopher gives it all back.  I wish more people knew how much
better their own minds eye is than any super computer rendered CG
animation.  Thank you Gopher, you are freedom.
