Clip #1 -
The 3 Fates of Norse Mythology, known as the Norns appear
shrowded in smoke. Their faces are revealed as the
smoke clears -
Flo Barnett who weaves the thread.
Paulette Cooper who measures it.
And Lisa Macpherson who cuts it.
They sing: "Double, double, toil and trouble,
we'll cut his thread and burst his bubble".

Clip #2 -
Miscaviagus is addressing the assembled staff at Helmut.
"Friends, auditors, missionaries, lend me your ears.
I come to bury Hubbard, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is often interred with their bones;
So let it be with Hubbard."

Clip #3 -
A great armored limo is pulling up at the Ceders complex.
Uniformed Sea Orgers surrond Miscaviagus as he disembarks
from the vehicle.
Two others in SO uniforms flank the top of the ASHO stairs
and whisper.
1st Sea Orger: "The upstatmobile hath arriven".
2nd Sea Orger: "T'were better dubbed the ratmobile".
1st Sea Orger: "T'were better to speak no harm of Miscaviagus here".
DM pushes in front of the crowd below and begins to mount
the steps.
An old crone with a scarf covered head shambles forth and
shakes her arm at him. DM looks toward her and she pulls
back her scarf.
As the scarf falls away, it is revealed that this is really
Gary Scarf in drag. He anounces loudly "BEWARE THE IDES
OF MARCH". DM begins to shout as Scarf scuttles away.
DM: "Thou hast within thee undivulged crimes,
Unwhipt of justice, hide thee, thou bloody hand".
As he shouts, the 1st Sea Orger whispers to the other:
"Now the hungry lion roars, and the wolf behowls the moon"

Clip #4 -
Miscaviagus is walking through the tunnel beneath the
street which links the ASHO and AO basements. He sees
a skull lying against the wall and picks it up and
addresses it.
"Alas poor Yurick, I RPFed him".
Then he laughs gleefully, tosses the skull back to the
ground, and resumes walking.
Suddenly there is a gust of wind and Hubbard's gost
appears.
Gost: "Murder Most Foul!".
DM: "Thou hast within thee undivulged crimes".
Gost: "Get thee to a Zoo".
DM shrikes and runs away down the corridor.

Clip #5 -
DM is in the warrens beneath ASHO and a crowd of RPFers
are slinking towards him. One steps forward and says:
"Doth an RPFer not bleed?"
DM: "Thou hast within thee undivulged crimes".
The RPFers shriek and run.

Clip #6 -
An army of picketers crowd LRH Way between ASHO and AO.
The great blue buildings tower around them.
A closeup shot of one of the sticks holding a picket
sign reveals that it is stamped "Birnam Lumber Co".
The camera swings to the top of the ASHO steps
where Miscaviagus stands with his chronies.
1st Chronie: "The Prophesy! Birnam wood to the
complex doth come! Alas, all is lost".
DM ignores him and is rubbing his hands as if washing
them. He says "Out Damn Spot" as his chronies gather
around and hustle him inside.

Clip #7 -
DM has fled to the complex at Helmut. Crowds are
storming towards the fences. He runs within a
building and enters "The Planetary Control Room".
Soon he is joined by his coven, the 12 who rule
the organization on his behalf.
They file in silently and surround him. They are
Heber and Lesevre. Rinder and Yaeger. Rathburn
and Spurlock. Mithoff and McShane. Lenske and
Harris. Starkey and Schomer.
Miscaviagus looks around with fear in his eyes.
The tension is high. Then he strightens his back and
looks to Ron's picture for a moment. Finally he
turns back to the crowd, hoping to inspire them to
sacrifice on his behalf.
DM: "To Squirrel or not to Squirrel, that is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
and by opposing end them?"
He indicates Ron's picture and begins the traditional
cheer, raising his fist into the air on each word.
DM: "Hip Hip ..."
The 12 then raise their fists, but the fists contain
daggers. They shout "Hurray" and charge Miscaviagus.
He disappears under them and gives a single mornful
cry.
Then the crowd backs away and DM is revealed bleeding
upon the floor. He looks up and utters his last
words:
"Et Tu Rinder?".

The Loyalist Officers have provided this as a public
service. It represents events on a parallel time track
in another universe and may not be representative of
events here on Earth.
A Planetary Control Room was known to exist back in
the late 1960s, but this tradition might not have
carried into modern times within our own universe.
The identities of the leaders are also slightly
speculative, however the central comittee is know to
have 13 members as in a witch's coven.

ABOUT FZA REPOSTS
Recently
[email protected] (FreeZone America) has been reposting
their archives including a lot of the messages I posted
last year.
They announced this in a message with subject line
"FZA: REPOST: Thanking "Matt" the CoS spokesperson"

Note that they were handling "Matt" who had started posting
to the FZA bulletin board in an attempt to handle FZA. I
suspect that "Matt" may be in the RPF by now.
FZA might also have been doing it to offset the flood of CofS
one liners being posted by the shills.
I think that it is a good idea in general to have a trickel
of FZA reposts hitting ARS for the sake of picking up CofS
fence sitters who might look in occasionally and to encourage
discussion of CofS reform and religious freedom.
Note that I am not in contact with FZA except through the
ARS and ACT newgroups, but I did publicly give my permission
for anyone to spread my postings around on the internet.
Most of the things I posted last year are still pertinent
and I was glad to see them show up again and spark some
additional discussion, and I'm happy to follow up on these.
It would help, however, if these FZA reposts were labeled as
reposts since many people might not have picked up FZA's
original message about the reposting. But it is easy to
tell the difference since my posts begin with "Super Scio"
in the subject lines (because I said that I would do that
for easy searching).
And it might have been excessive for FZA to repost the entire
self clearing book because it is easily downloaded from their
site (and other locations as well). It would probably have
been better to post a few chapters along with the URL for
a full download, as they did with Filbert's book.
I'm only offering these as friendly suggestions, I was
quite happy to see FZA take such a strong positive action.
I also noticed that only a few critics objected and many
others immediately came to our defense. My thanks to
Rebecca Hartong, Bob Minton, Rob Clark, Dave Bird,
David Gerard, Laudanum, Hartley Patterson, and others for
their support in this matter.
Any CofS members who are reading this should please take
note. The black and white picture of good guys and bad
guys that is painted in policy is completely wrong.
I think that we have been proving that one again and again
on ARS.

Back in the early 1960s, I bought a box full of old Astoundings
dirt cheap. It was an almost complete set from Nov 49 up
through 1954.
This included the May 1950 issue (number 5) with the "Dianetics"
article.
The Dianetics article was "Dianetics: The Evolution of a Science".
A few years later I went back through them and read various
"fact" articles that I had skipped the first time through
including the Dianetics article. Note that Astounding regularly
featured a "fact" article on a topic that was felt to be
sci fi related, such as popular science type articles on
rocket propulsion or the filming of a sci fi movie (Heinline
wrote one on filming the "Destination Moon" movie which has
been reprinted in one of the Heinline collections).
Reading this 1950 article was what got me interested in
Dianetics and Scientology in the first place.
Later, in 1969 or 1970 I was doing the "Hubbard Standard
Dianetics Course" (HSDC) and was being checked out on
the book version of Evolution of a Science (EOS) which
I had just read for about the 3rd time and I felt very
bothered and decided that I had a "misunderstood" of some
kind.
The nagging feeling was that the book wasn't quite what
I had read the first time back in 1965.
So I dug out the old 1950 Astounding and compared it to
the published book line by line.
The original discussed the "Norns" (Norse Mythology) who
spun the threads of a mans life.
He uses two words in the book, one is "Engram" and the
other is "Norn".
The "Norn" was the actual incident which impacted
the person and the "Engram" was the picture of the incident
which could then be restimulated and have an ill effect
on the person.
This version included sentences such as:
"The person, having recieved a Norn, now has an Engram".
The revised book version, first published in 1952 changes
the word "Norn" to the word "Engram".
Therefor, the above sentence became:
"The person, having recieved an Engram, now has an Engram".
It has been a long time, and I no longer have the magazine,
so there is a slight chance that I have reversed Norn and
Engram (maybe the impact was the engram and the picture of
it was the norn), but I'm certain of this collapse of two
words (engram and norn) into a single word (engram).
Since Astounding included some illustrations, there was
a drawing of "The Norns" (3 old hags) along with the article.
Everything else was identical to what is in the modern
EOS book except for the last page.
Where the published book ends, the magazine version goes
on for a few more paragraphs which are addressed to the
Sci Fi readers.
That missing section said something like - "Eric Frank
Russel was right, there is a Sinister Barrier in men's
minds but it is not imposed from outside, its source
lies within man himself".
He was referring to Russel's sci fi novel "Sinister
Barrier" which I have previously mentioned as being
one of the sci fi stories about how people are controlled
by invisible entities that make you kill yourself if you
find out about them.
Russel called his entities "Vitrons". They were supposed to
feed on people'e emotions. The book is about somebody
who discovers them and successfully avoids killing himself
and then finds that the Vitron's begin influencing other
people against him and eventually will even influence
people to set off a World War to keep from being found out.
Note that Russel also wrote "Dreadful Sanctuary" which
is about Earth being a prison planet controlled by a
secret world conspiracy and used as a dumping ground
by the people of Mars and Venus who dumped their insane
criminals here.
In the previous issue (April), John Campbell (editor of
Astounding) gave a really big buildup to the forthcoming
Dianetics article, and continued to plug it in his editorials
for a number of months thereafter.
I think that there were also things in the letters to
the editor for a few months and possibly a few minor
follow up articles, but by mid 1951, Dianetics disappeared
completely from Astounding.
There were also ads for DMSMH and the early Dianetics
foundations for a few months in 1950.
When Astounding started plugging Dianetics, one of
its competitors, "The Magazine of Fantasy and Science
Fiction", took exception and published critical articles.
I had a handful of F&SF issues from that time period and
I think that it was the June or July 1950 issue which
had a scathing attack on Dianetics. I think that it
was by James Blish (another noted Sci Fi writer), but
again it has been a long time and I could be wrong
about the exact date and author.

You know as well as I do that it takes time for people to wake up
(too damn long, but that's life), especially when they are
constantly being manipulated by upper management (you know about
that too).
I don't think that you and Stacy were bad people when you were
working for CofS. You might have things that you regret now
from hindsight, but it took you time to wake up and you had
access to more data than the average CofS members would.
And huge numbers are staying away from the orgs, which is why
the stats are collapsing.
And a lot who are afraid to leave staff are cheering with
an eye on the Ethics officer and little real enthusiasm.

Ha Ha. The "knowing how to know" has been bullshit for decades
now.
The actual formula (1952) was based on being able to evaluate
existing data in the field of metaphysics and the actual
practice of it requires actively squirreling and mixing practices
as they are defined in the CofS today.
Knowing how to know has been forbided by policy since KSW
came out, but they still use the slogan because it sounds
good.
As far as the Net goes, you are right and that is what will
do it in the long run.
But remember that most Scientologists are behind the times
in the computer area (the exception being many old tech
people who became programmers, but most of them are like
me, wanting to see reform and no longer supporting the
bad org behavior).
Last year was when many were trying to get online for the
first time, often with second hand 486s and with horrible
software and tech support from Earthlink.
The Net exposure is Right Now. It takes time for this stuff
to spread. It takes time for people to stop flinching at
the unpleasant truth and do something. We are right in
the middle of that at this time.
That's why I expect things to happen soon. Before last
year, it was like waving a hand infront of somebody whose
eyes were closed. Now the eyes are opening and they are
starting to focus.

Its too much of a generality. Many stay away. Many distance
themselves from this "hate" business. Many put on a show for
the Ethics officer. How many are really supporting this kind
of insanity?
My intention was simply to direct people's attention to the
correct target which is CofS management and OSA.
Any Scientologist reading the cat newsgroup would obviously
be a cat lover and would be horrified at what OSA has been
up to against your cats. I wanted to drive that wedge in there.
Let them stop and think. Let them not feel personally attacked
but instead have their attention put on the evil things
that OSA is up to.
Some will get it and some will doublethink, but even the
doublethinkers will be one step closer and may come around
when they hear of the next atrocity.
OSA can't dead agent me without drawing attention to the free
self clearing book and the freezone. So they have to ignore me.
And I'm very pro tech. Scientologists love tech more than
anything else. And I believe in Scientology and say so.
So I think that most of them will listen and believe me when I
say that OSA has been attacking your cats whereas they would
tune out any critic as makeing up lies.

Note that this was an FZA repost of a message I posted in
May of last year.
My information on Earthlink has grown a bit stale and I'm not
sure how much control the Scientologists retain at this point
nor how friendly they are to the CofS.
Also note that a business owned by Scientologists is not
the same thing as a front group controlled by CofS. Sometimes
they are very much in bed with the org and sometimes they
are very cool and maintain as much distance as possible.
Early last year, I was hearing from various Scientologists
about how their friends who were working for Earthink were
promoting to them about getting onto the internet via
Earthlink.
Then I was hearing stories from Scientologists about Earthlink's
terrible tech support and about all the problems associated
with using their service.
Then I was hearing nothing about Earthlink.
Concurrently with this, I was hearing all sorts of stuff
about Earthlink's big anti-Spam campaign while at the
same time they seemed to be one of the biggest sources
for spam.
And there were rumors of them playing ball with OSA.
But all of this seemed to fade out last fall.
I have no idea what the situation is right now, but I
can offer a hypothesis based on things I have seen with
other Scientologist's businesses sometimes.
Some Scientologists start a business. They begin promoting
it on internal lines among other Scientologists. The
Scientologists like to support each other and they start
using this business. The business maintains very good
relations with the org, doing favors etc., a bit of a
one hand washes the other kind of thing.
But the Scientology businesses often concentrate on big
league sales and have high prices (Survial Insurance is
an example) and do not produce a competative product.
The next thing that happens is that various Scientologists
who have used the service start complaining to ethics.
They can't use any "wog" means to bitch about the poor
service. Scientologists are not supposed to take each
other to court.
So ethics starts getting flooded with Knowledge Reports
about this company. If the volume gets too high,
ethics summons the people at the company and gives them
a talking too. The Scientology businessmen don't like
this and begin distancing themselves from the organization.
Soon the business is being run by a bunch of fence sitters
who stay as far away from the org as they can while
avoiding getting declared (because that would cost them
business) and relationships have cooled noticably.
Also, if a Scientologist is makeing big bucks, they tend
to get pressured about makeing big contributions to
various things and sometimes they get sick of that
and start distancing themselves.
Or sometimes the businessmen get mishandled by the
org and get disaffected.
As I said, I have no idea what the current scene is at
Earthlink, but I wouldn't be surprised if the relationship
has grown cool.

Most newsreaders have an option setting which lets you only
pull the titles of the posts. Then you click on the specific
ones that you want and it only downloads those.
I always collect everything together into either one (or
sometimes two) archive files, so those are all that you
need. Every individual post has the archive file number(s)
mentioned at the bottom.
Paul at FZA usually picks these archives up almost immediatly
and places them in his archives.
The filenames at FZA always seem to be in the form -
http://fza.org/pilot/posts/post##.txt
Substitute the archive number (as mentioned above) in place of ##.
Strangly, I've noticed that newsact.lightlink.com seems to
get half of the posts (at random) almost immediately and
then the rest trickel in slowly.
The open newserver at lamont.ldgo.columbia.edu seems to
get just about everything very quickly. And they will
only have a small number of postings because they age
things off in a day or two. So its a good place to pick
things up immediately although it doesn't have the
long term capacity of lightlink.
There is also a decent gopher that I included a link
to on the Reformer's Homepage. That lets you pull the
titles up in a web browser and then click on the one
you want. When you reach the gopher the first time,
just add it to your bookmarks or quicklist or whatever
so you can just go back to it as needed.

As far as using annonymous email to send something into
clear-l (which Homer suggested), I haven't started using
email from the Pilot identity yet, but I'm gearing up to
do this when the time seems right.
So I have a couple of questions for Homer.
a) Does your anonymous remailer log the IP address
when someone connects to it?
b) Is there a message size limit on the anonymous remailer?
c) Is there a message size limit on things that are sent
into clear-l?

I think that most will defend your right to believe as you want
and the ones who think your ideas are stupid will eventually just

This is my example of one of your "half truths". If you were actually
on the orthodox OT8 level when you stated that your were, you would not

Only if he kept OSA and Ethics from finding out that he was doing

I like this "new possibility" and it's the way that I think things
should be, but I know of too many contrary examples.
Here is an experiment you could try. Walk into an org and tell
the registrar that you've had some freezone auditing and now
would like to get some orthodox standard tech so that you can
compare the two.
I think that you'll end up in ethics right quick.

The parallel in Christianity is the many intelligent Christians

If you want to be a freezone critic, be my guest, and we can
have many good arguments. But it is distracting right now
and I would prefer to leave it until after the bad behavior
of the CofS has been handled.
However, even if we argue philosophically, I will still enjoy
other things that you post and I will continue to support
your Xenu leaflet (because it helps wake up the idiot fanatics).
I don't pull those fanatical black/white value judgements
which try to sort people into good guys and bad guys.

my post of July 1997 titled "Concerning Avatar". The
subject line (of the repost) was "FZA: Concerning Avatar".
They probably should have marked it as a repost (all the
"FZA: ..." subject headers are reposts) but I'm glad they
reposted it because I've finally found out about Avatar as
a result.
In the original post, I passed on an unfounded rumor about
their using sensory deprivation tanks. I admit that I was
taking a bit of a nasty shot at them and it was a bit of
a troll because of their annoying wall of secrecy. The
last thing I want to see is a group springing up that has
even more confidentiality than the CofS. And people were
asking me about Avatar, so I passed on the only story
that I've heard.
I was hopeing to get somebody to post some real data in
response and it didn't happen when my post hit back in
July. But it seems to have stirred everything up this
time around and finally served its purpose.
And it looks like a good insider story on Avatar has
been around for years and I just hadn't found it. I highly
recommend it and it sounds truthful to me although again
I have no other verification.

If the story is accurate, then Harry Palmer and his main
organization are pretty slimy, which is what I would
have expected considering the amount of confidentiality
and so forth.

The basic Avatar levels 1 to 3, on the other hand, don't
sound bad, again assuming that the story presents their
tech accurately.
I haven't read Basher, but this idea of how to as-is a
thought (or any creation) is pretty much a basic in
metaphysics, at least as I got it when I was growing
up. The only thing that struck me as new was the
phrase "heat it up" instead of "intensify it".
I think that this is in Zen and Science of Mind and
earlier sources and that Basher was just outlining a
commonly accepted idea.
But most of my metaphysics is a jumbled up mess from my
family, so I can be very off base sometimes about what
came from where.
And of course these ideas are in 1953 Scientology. We
have as-isness and we have copying pictures and thoughts,
and we have intensifying things and all that stuff. I
always assumed that this was part of TR 0, or of getting
your TRs in on something, but of course many people
don't get that on a TRs course (unless they have
read CofHA and Phoenix Lectures before doing the course).
You will find this kind of thing in the Self Clearing
book as well, and I didn't get it from Basher or Avatar
(neither of which I knew anything about until now).
Its just 1953 stuff seen in the light of an early
upbringing in metaphysics.
But the fact that the data is already well known doesn't
invalidate the course.
In fact, a good two week course in as-isness (discreating),
taught like a TRs course and with lots of drilling sounds
like a really good idea.
So why make it confidential? That's the first outpoint.
Just because somebody can get ahold of a TRs HCOB doesn't
substitute for doing a TRs course. The same would go
for drilling as-isness.
Exposing the data probably wouldn't hurt the Avatar
Master's business, it might even help it. And opening
the communications might aid them in improving their
course because of a free and open interchange of ideas.
And my impression from reading that story is that
Harry's training might have been inadequate unless the
prospective Master was already bringing a lot to the
table. Open communications might fill in the weaknesses
for those that need it and also allow the entire subject
to move forward.
The second outpoint is that this is a limited technique
that can only be pushed so far. Two weeks is just fine
and the results should be immense if it is done right,
but you will reach a point where you are bypassing too
much of the guy's case and he will bog. You can't make
it all the way to OT on present time as-isness alone.
This is the 1953 approach and they had a lot more tricks
for it than Avatar does. And it is just not enough.
You can only go so far and then your case begins to drag
you back. I know because I've used this kind of thing
a lot.
You can get into present time and drop lots of baggage.
You can unmock the postulate that the past affects
the present and get significant gains. But you can't
keep it unmocked because every time you collect
interest on a bank account, or expect to receive a
paycheck for work you did last week, you reaffirm the
postulate that the present is the result of the past.
You can put aside things temporarily that you cannot
put aside on a permanent operating basis. And so you
hit limits and constraints in how far you can go with
something like this.
But modern standard tech flopped the other way, and
concentrates almost exclusively on case. That is also
fatal because you validate case too much.
My own consideration in the matter is that the only
way out is to do both, either alternately or in
combination. You can push either one exclusively
for awhile, but just count on having to balance it
out.
And that brings us to the third outpoint, which is
to say that this is all that one needs and that
case handling becomes unnecessary. The usual over
inflated PR and sales bullshit that leaves one up the
creek without a paddle, not because the tech used was
wrong, but because all other tech was invalidated
and one is steered down a course that dries up
before it reaches the destination.
Why not just be honest and promote it as a damn good
course and a real horsepower booster, assuming,
of course, that they are capable of delivering that?
The only reason that I can see for these outpoints
is that Harry wanted power and control and big bucks
and is sitting in a late era Hubbard valence.
At least Ron had his good period in the 1950s. You
might say that he at least payed his dues. Harry
seems to have jumped straight into the confidentiality
and the chicanery from the start.
And the funny thing is that he could have done better
by doing it all in an aboveboard manner. If he could
come up with one course, he could come up with a dozen.
I certainly could. There is all of metaphysics and
1950s Scientology to tap. Makeing hybrids of these
things has tremendous potential.
Without the bullshit promises and maybe slightly lower
prices (and much lower royalties), he could have
a repeat public and lots of happy customers. And without
the confidentiality there would be enough ideas flying
around freely that he could put together new courses
fairly easily. He could have gotten rich on volume.
Of course I'd tell people to roll up their sleaves and
get to work on self clearing. But there are books
on how to program computers too and yet most people
choose to take courses, at least to learn the basics.
It's often faster to have a helping hand.
And a training approach is much more economical than
a professional one-on-one processing approach.

I don't think that there is any tech which needs to
be confidential to work or which is too dangerous to
be revealed.
My current working assumption is that the degree of
out ethics is directly proportional to the degree of
confidentiality.

GUIDE TO CONFIDENTIAL DATA
There has been a wealth of Scientology confidential material
posted to the internet. This began with the Fishman materials,
continued with the Scamizdat postings, and culminated in the
postings of Nots and other materials which were webbed at
the Operation Clambake sites.
Many fence sitters, freezoners, reformers, etc. are interested
in collecting these things for purposes of continuing their
practice of the Scientology religion outside of the confines
of the orthodox CofS.
These materials are still all over the net but they have
become a bit harder to locate and it helps to have a list
of what is there and some idea of the keywords that one
might search for.
Search engines that poke at web sites and pick up FTP file
names can often provide links to things that are not listed
on HTML pages if you can pick out some unusual keyword
(like Amprinistics which is mentioned in an ethics order
that was included in Scamizdat 11). Occasionally these
files are "accidentally" left lying around where search
engines can spot them.
Also, these things get posted and reposted occasionally
and end up in various obscure news archives and again
it is helpful to have keywords for searching.
Some of the people who wish to further their studies of
the Scientology religion in this manner also need more
information as to what is what and where the various
things fit on the orthodox bridge.
Therefore, I felt that it would be helpful to provide
a guide to the materials that are available.
Since the largest and most confused collection
is that provided by Scamizdat 11, and since there is
already a detailed index provided at the Scamizdat
website, I downloaded their index and annotated it in
detail. They might want to put this annotated version
up at their site. Note that I'm not Scamizdat.
Most of these materials from Scamizdat have been repackaged
and made available at various times at various websites,
so it is not the only source for these things. This
is just to help people trying to sort out the entire
package and to clue them in as to what they should be
able to find.
Following that, I'll list what else is available.

Note that for a time in the 1970s, bulletins and policies that
were not by Ron were supposed to be issued as Board Tech Bulletins
(BTBs) instead of HCOBs, and as Board Policy Letters (BPLs) instead
of HCOPLs. They took various older HCOBs and HCOPLs (such as
the HCOB given here) that were by somebody else and reissued them
as BTBs and BPLs during this time period.
Earlier practice was to issue HCOBs etc. with other peoples names
on them (at least sometimes). Later, it was recognized that staff
tended to ignore BTBs (I remember one Sea Org auditor referring to
them as toilet paper) so the late 1970s practice was to issue
everything as HCOBs by Ron.

It is CONFIDENTIAL and is not included in the new SHSBC
cassettes. I can't actually verify it, but it seems to match
the film that I saw.

This is SHSpec-50 of 22 Dec 64 and was also filmed as well
as being available as a taped lecture. It is a companion
to "Pattern of the Bank" above but was not always included
in the Grade 6 course.
Prior to Dianetic Clear, everybody did the R6 theory course
on their way up to the OT levels and had one or both of
the above plus some HCOBs on GPM theory before they ever
got near the CC or OT 2 materials.
When Dianetic Clear came out, they went onto OT 1 (simple),
and then OT 2 (intense running of GPM platens) without
any of the above theory. The OT 2 materials reference
using the CC insturction booklet (below), so that was
always included on the OT 2 theory checksheet for reference
(and sometimes it included the CC film as well), but
none of the GPM background data was given to the OT 2
students.
As a result, many OT 2 students were very confused.
Sometimes the OT 2 supervisor kept a transcript of the
above tapes (pattern of the bank etc.) handy to pull
out and show to them even though it wasn't on the
OT 2 checksheet.

This implant platen was cancelled by HCOB 28 Apr 63, which gives
a different implant platen. That is why they omitted it. They

The above are the "handwritten" OT 3 instructions, which was the
long original writeup, plus the actual "platens" for incident 1
and incident 2 including the list of volcanos. The level always
included the "handwritten" instructions, sometimes with as a
mimeo or photocopy of the handwriting, and sometimes typed up.
Not included here are a slew of "secret" HCOBs that came out
subsequently to clarify or expand the level. The most noteable
was "Cumulative Cluster Formation". Later tech was generally
to use cumulative cluster (assess for what kind of incident and
run that instead of just assuming that it was incident 2) rather
than the earlier approach. I'm not sure if the cumulative
cluster bulletin is on the net, if you can't find it, see
Filbert's Excalibur Revisited for his description of the
technique (originally called the Milazzo rundown).
Note that OT 3 bulletins said "Secret" rather than "Confidential"
which had been used on the lower confidential levels, implying
that there were 2 major classifications of confidential materials.

This describes the use of the audited section of OT 4, the
actual list of what to audit is below at 16113.

This is the solo section of OT 4. This is the "clearing
course" repeat which was very briefly one of the versions
of OT 1 before being bumped up to OT 4. This is basically
the 2nd OT 4, with the original OT 1 having very briefly
been the 1st OT 4 before it was bumped as being too difficult.
By the late 1970s, this version of OT 4 had expanded slightly
with some extra steps to do while fooling around with the
clearing course materials. Also, I seem to recall that
a few of the steps of what is in here as the 2nd OT 1
(such as the step of "mocking up heat") were also added to
the end of this OT 4.
This remained as OT 4 until the NOTS OT level renumbering.
This or an expanded version of it will probably be the
new OT 9 when they get around to releasing it.

At this point the steps of the audited section of OT 4 are
listed begining with "(1) Rudiments or GF (Green Form) to F/N".
This was basically a rehab of earlier levels followed by
the "7 CASES" handling if necessary. Note that none of these
actions was really confidential.
The "7 CASES" referes to the "7 Resistive Cases" (1968)
which was then renamed "7 Special Cases" (1969) and which
later ended up as GF (Green Form) section 40, which is the
name that most auditors will recognize it by. It is
in the tech volumes under that name.
The use of the term "7 Cases" implies that this is a 1968-9
version of OT 4.
This audited step was mainly a repair action and almost
disappeared after expanded grades were released, becoming
just a simple check over before letting the person go
onto the solo section of OT 4.

These are early versions, later ones used in the 1970s had

of this type back in the 1950s.
New OT 10 and 11 will probably be re-issues of these levels,
hopefully expanded considerably by adding in tons more OT drills
from the 1950s.

This is labled as OT 8 HCOB of 1 Oct 69. It might be an
authentic OT 8 HCOB from the early days when Ron was imagining
a final super level after old OT 7. This seems like one bulletin
out of what would have been a pack of bulletins outlining a major
theory (like getting just one of the Nots HCOBs from the middle
of the set).
If this is authentic, I would suspect that one of the OT 8
HCOBs that Ron was putting together was passed around to
some of the Class 8s to generate enthusiasm. The timeframe (1969)
is right. In this period, he was still imagining a quicky
series of OT levels. With the advent of expanded grades in
1970, that all went by the boards as the tech was significantly
restructured, and it wasn't long before he was talking in
terms of needing about 24 OT levels to make it.
This one bears no relationship to any other OT level or version
of "OT 8" that is floating around, but it might be part of the
level that Ron never quite got into shape for release but
kept promising as his ultimate. Or maybe its yet another
freezone construction.

Scamizdat 11 contained everything that was in any of the
earlier Scamizdats ( 0 and 3 to 10, as listed at the
Scamizdat website) with the following exceptions.
The later OT 1 of 27 July 68 mentioned in my commentary
at 14874 above was in Scamizdat 3 and repeated in number
5 and again in number 8 but was left out of number 11.
But it has appeared separately at various times and was
up at Operation Clambake at some point.
SCAMIZDAT 6 of 29 May 1995 also included a complete copy
of the LA Times articles.
SCAMIZDAT 9 of 12 July 1995 also included

A full Nots auditors pack is all over the net.
Super Power was posted, begining with:
EXECUTIVE DIRECTIVE LRH ED 301 INT 17 December 1978 RON'S JOURNAL 30,
1978 - THE YEAR OF LIGHTNING FAST NEW TECH,
And then continuing with various confidential materials such as
THE CONDITION BELOW CONFUSION.
There is a set of L10 to L12 materials. They look like
a freezone reconstruction rather than the originals.
I believe that there was a transcript of the "Between Lives
Implants" tape (July 23, 1963, SHSBC-288 in the old numbering
system) and "The Helatrobus Implants" tape (21 May 63 SHSBC-266).
These were once confidential but were declassified and added
back onto the briefing course.
Somebody began posting tech volume 1 with subject line
"From the Red Volumes (1/?)" 2/?, 3/?, etc.

Quite a few other HCOBs have been on the net. Most or all
of these were on Operation Clambake's "HCOBS Etc." page
among other places.

Except for the Scamizdat 11 index, I've pretty much limited
this to confidential tech (rather than policy) and I'm sure
that I've missed some.
However, there are some things missing.
As far as what public might see while doing the OT levels,
the things missing are:
a) The clearing course film transcript.
b) The Green Green Form (another OT 3 & above correction list).
c) Some of the OT 3 HCOBs.
d) Chapters 13 & 14 of OT 2.
e) The handful of Solo Nots HCOBs
f) The actual materials of new OT 8 as delivered on the Freewinds.
g) A few HCOBs on solo auditing
Note that e), f), and g) have been described in various posts.
Also, public sometimes got to hear hard to get (but not
actually confidential) SHSBC tapes giving the general theory
of GPMs and similar materials, and the Solo Nots course
included some of the Class 8 tapes.
The biggest lack on the auditor's side are transcripts
of the Class 8 tapes (except for the excerpt from the assist
tape) and HCOBs on C/Sing upper levels (the Solo C/S course
pack). And the official L10 to L12 materials.
And then there are obscure things like the Staff Clearing
lectures and various tapes that they have been dropping out
of the 1950s materials.
