Just a moment after i argued with someone in usenet that nobody would
be so stupid to use ICBMs with an conventional warhead in a conflict
i read that the russian military did exactly that... what.the.fuck...
And looking into reddit (using Gopherreddit for sanity reasons) you
see tons of edgy teenagers (or people stuck in the mindset of those)
writing about how empty a threat this is, how much small-dick- energy
(sic!) this transports and that we should now nuke moskow... has the
whole fucking world lost its fucking mind?
Well... seems like i should climb to the attic and see if my old black
biker gear still fits, its better to be prepared if we are heading into
mad max territory.
Well, to write something about a more pleasant topic: I am finally
spending the evenings (after wife and son went to bed) more with real
books instead of watching some nonsense on Youtube, interestingly, this
lead to having a much better sleep and awaking way more rested. Does this
have a causal connection or is it just a coincidence? Whatever, it works.
Another positive thing i am observing is that the usenet is seemingly
more active than a few years ago, it looks also like more younger people
are discovering it. Perhaps the stronger regulation of other social
media plays a role here... lets hope, that this doesn't bring too much
attention of "Big Brother" to this forgotten place of the net.
