It is the two-year-anniversary of my first gopher post, here on SDF.
I am making this post much as I made that one - using nano while logged in. I
did not plan for this specifically, but it is an interesting coincidence.

I have been trying to keep myself working on various projects these
past several weeks, not that I have much spare time but because I find myself
much more content when I am working on things that I like to do, even if I
have to force myself to do them. Including my morning prep and commute there
and back home, my work day is now 12.5 hours long, so I am feeling pretty
wiped out by the time I can start to do my own things. Considering this job
offers no benefits and I have not had a pay raise since my sixth month there,
despite a major increase in responsibility, I do not think I will be working
this job much longer.

Today's projects were some minor work around the house, hanging new
smoke detectors and a new curtain rod, and then working on setting up a
solution for playing my Playstation 2 games on my old PS2 from high school,
whose disk drive is finally starting to fail. I managed to track down some
old software that was DMCA'd a decade ago, which functioned as both an
archival tool for PS2 memory cards as well as a way to write PS2 software to
them using the memory card adapter Sony originally released for the PS3.
Next, I ripped an image of one of my PS2 games, and set it up on a USB stick.
Appropriately enough, it's an Xbox 360 branded USB stick. The last step is
to set up a Raspberry Pi as an SMB server, which has not been going smooth.

It is getting to be very late / very early now, so I suppose I will
end this here and pick up my projects again in the morning. If I can find the
energy, I might also detail some of the other projects I have been working on
since my last entry. We'll see, I guess.
