I got my Odin Android handheld

Last evening, I received my Odin Pro Android game handheld.
It's transparent purple color (they name it Atom Purple).
Very nice, and I like it so much. It's similar size like
Nintendo Switch but bigger than Switch Lite.
Made by a New company AYN in Shenzhen China, crowdfunded on
Indiegogo.com.
They have two major hardware version, one with SnapDragon
SD845 processor called Odin Base/Pro, other with MediaTech
Dimensity D900 named Odin Lite.
I firstly ordered the Lite last September at that moment
forecasting will ship in Feb-2022, however when came to
this Feburary, seems Lite will got quite some delay, I then
decided to order a Pro, as it's first batch is already in
production, I was hoping I could get the Pro in March or
April.
I was mis-calculated, my order for Pro is in Feb where many
users are placing orders already, so I got a late position
in the pipe.
Unfortunately later on, Shanghai impacted by the COVID-19
spread in late March and the lock down lasted 2 month plus.
This also affected Odin production as they said one of their
PCB manufacturing is located in Shanghai, they were about 2
month could not operate their production. Other vendor is in
Kunshan, 60km away from Shanghai also affected but not so
sever.
I guess the bigger volume production is really in May, and
I asked AYN last week, whether my Pro will be shipped, they
answered around two three days later, that my Pro shipped,
and told that Odin Lite will be shipping around end June.
I made some quick setup last evening, and installed AM2R
the fan-made Metorid game, this is the first game I want to
play on Oddin handheld, as I missed so much playing Metroid
games on GBA/NDSL handheld. Thanks to the community, there
is Android mod/release of AM2R game.
I just wanted to experience the feel of playing Metroid game
on handheld.
Odin is the most favarite handheld when I looking around. I
like the slim design, the back side grip design, the form
factor, and its attractive transparent color.
After AM2R, I may replay the Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission
on it, as well as the Castlevania games. I like this genre
most.
