I tried to use ChatGPT to create an Android browser app for Gopher.
All went well enough until I had to interact with Android Studio,
which is in my opinion a deliberately obtuse piece of shit;
ridiculous dependencies, constantly doing all sorts of crap in the
background that you didn't ask for, usw. So I gave up.
This prompted ChatGPT 5 to ask me if I wanted it to create a gopher
proxy for my server, which I did, and it did. Works perfectly now
with a few tweaks; search function, bookmarks, downloads, all in a
stylish layout and just 442 lines of code.
Private for the minute, but we'll see how it goes.
