on a nearby maple tree.

Within the Edge of Moonbrook Forest~
As you walk between the humongous trees, the buzzing sound becomes louder and
clearer. The amazing maple trees have grown so close together that
there is almost no space between them. A small gap in these living towers
can be seen to the northeast, and another to the west. You sense another
presense here and decide that you should move quickly.

As you walk futher into the forest you realize what the buzzing noise has been.
It is the sound of insects, thousands of them. These woods have become the
home for a great swarm of these little pests. None of these bugs seem to take

You stand precariously balanced on a hollow rotten log over the stagnant water.
Mosquitos swarm around you, trying to bite into your flesh and feed. The horrid
stink rising form the pond below you has begun to make you dizzy, and you have
begun to question your ability to stay balanced much longer. You can continue
south to the tip of the log or return to the dry shore north of here.

As you walk to the in of log, you almost step on a small throne sitting at the
tip the fallen tree. The log breaks off suddenly here, almost as if something
had bitten the end clean off. The stink of the rankish water fills your senses
and you think that you would not go swimming here for all the gold in the world.
As you think what to do next, the mosquitos begin to attack your neck again.

jumping around in front of it, but as he sees you he takes flight and heads
back towards the woods.

A Small Path in the Forest~
The path is quite small here, with large tree limiting the options of travel.
The foul stench of standing water wafts in from the west. To the north lies
a small clearing. To the east, a swarm of bees has taken up residence. You
glance at your weapon with confidence and trudge on, ready for anything that
dares to come your way.

Under a large tree~
You stand below one of the tallest trees you have ever seen in all of your
travels. Most of the branches are far to high for you to reach, but one
particular branch reaches down to you. Hanging from this branch is a massive
bee hive. Suddenly you realize that bees are all around you, and they do
not look happy with you at all. I might be a wise choise to turn around and
leave west.

A small path in a big forest~
The stench is very strong here, wafting in from the northwest almost faster
than you can take. The smell reminds you of the torture chambers in a castle,
or the catacombs under a monestary. You grit your teeth and decide to move
on, but you aren't quite sure weather to go northwest and discover the source
of the smell, or to simply go east, back to a better smelling section of the
forest.

As you advance from the southeast, you are quick to discover the source of
the horrid smell. It seems that some traveler, much like your self, met his

southeast.

A path among the maple trees~
Squeezing between the giant maples, you come to a path which seems to be
used a bit mote often than the rest. Most of the grass is dead here, and
most of the flowers have been worn down to the stem. The destruction is
worse to the east, and another path leads back to the west.

An eaten-away clearing~
The vegetation here is eaten away to the core. Not a single green thing lays
within your sight. It seems that the ants inhabiting this region of the
forest are very hungry creatures. They swarm around you, never stopping in
their quest to glean supplies from the surronding area. A small dirt mound
is to the north, and a path leads back in the forest to the west.

At the Ant Hill~
Before you is a small dirt mound, about two feet high. Soldier ants, scouts,
and workers all scurry in and out at a grueling pace. None of the tiny insects
seem to even care how big you are, they simply go around your feet and scurry
away from your boots at every step you take.

through the forest.

so tall the you swear they could punch through the heavens and pull down

The cave is damp, but fairly warm. A few small rock formations reach their way
up from the floor, almost as if they are trying to touch their brothers and

This part of the cave is a little larger than the entrance that lies
to the west. The walls are farther apart, and the ceiling, which is
currently home to a half dozen bats, is rather high. You should really

The pine trees part here, allowing a shaft of light to fall in the center of

Inside the hut~
The inside of this one-room hut is very plain, boasting no furnishings save a
chair, a wooden table, and a wrought-iron stove. Everything is very clean, and
you can't spy a bit of dust anywhere. It certianly doesn't look like a the

orderliness of the rest of the primative dwelling.
