Rocky Foothill
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
You stand at the base of the enormous cliff that divides Narnia from the
wilder wastelands to the west. Gazing upward from where you stand, the wall
of stone seems to rise upward so high as to nearly punch right through the sky
overhead. Standing where you are, you cannot see what, if anything, sits atop
it. Below you, the ground is rocky and loose, making travelling across it very
precarious.
You can follow the cliffs northward and southward from here. To the north,
you can see a dense clump of hardy trees at the edge of Lantern Waste. To the
south, the lowlands roll in tree-dotted waves toward the mountains in the
distance.

At the Base of the Cliffs
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
You stand at the base of a cliff, which rises above you in great, jagged
spires until it meets the sky high, high above. The trees that grow here are
comparatively small and stout, with a kind of grizzly hardiness to them that
must come from trying to grow in rough, rocky soil. Nonetheless, they provide
a nice bit of shade and give this part of the cliffbase a kind of protected
feel.
The woods open out to the northeast. Between the trunks of the trees you can
make out a pretty sort of meadow there. The cliffbase continues southward down
a steepish rocky incline. It appears to be a difficult way to go, however.

the face of the Western Cliffs, and to the east by a particularly thick grove
of trees. The grass grows tall and thick here, in clumps thick enough to make
an enticing mouthful for any grazing beast. Between the trees and the cliffs,
the meadow remains shaded enough to make it a nice, relaxing place to be.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The best word for the spot where you stand would probably be.. grandiose. To
the west is a roaring waterfall, where (presumably) a river from somewhere in
the western wilds falls over Narnia's western border-cliffs to create
Cauldron pool. You are standing on a path that forks three ways - east, to
follow along the bank of the Great River (which begins here!), north, fording
the relatively small 'river' and continuing into the forest homes, and south
where it curves around the pool and to an opening in the cliff.

of the open clearing where it seems fires have been built over many nights.

like a foamy waterfall. He is an impressive sight, and carries with him a
large sack slung over one shoulder in one hand, and a great booming bell in

stopping only to greet and hand out presents to Narnians as he encounters
them. Perhaps you should Greet him too?

The Shelter Tree Clearing
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
You find yourself in the midst of a pretty little clearing. It is shady and
cool here, and you can see from the tracks in the brush that many creatures
must move through here.
A large, stout tree grows here, one that isn't very tall, but its crown is
so thick that you can barely see up into it. It bears no fruit, however.
Its roots splay out across the ground at your feet, and among the thicker
ones near the trunk there is a large, cavernous hole leading down below.
Also near the base is a lush growth of underbrush that forms a kind of
shelter as well.

Out-of-Character Lounge
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
You stand in the Out-of-Character Lounge, the one area on the MUCK where you
are NOT encouraged to roleplay. In fact, it's downright frowned-upon! As
such, the Lounge is a perfect hangout for players who are tired, idle, or
otherwise needing a break. This purpose in mind, the lounge is cosy, casual
and completely relaxed. There are sofas, chairs, a few bird perches, and
straw beds set up in conversational clusters, and a big bulletin board posted
along one wall with notes stuck to it with thumbtacks.
Doorways lead off in various directions, all neatly labelled with plastic
engraved signs for your navigation convenience. There's also a spiral
staircase in the center of the room that leads down to the lower level of the
OOC area.

Lydia pages, "Ahh, silver potion! Nice!" to you.
You page, "I got a potion. Is what it does supposed to be a secret?" to Lydia.
You page, "I see you've only gotten Caily's side of the story. In any case, I was hoping you and I, and any other wolves around, would get a chance for at least one more RP session sometime around the IC Christmas celebration." to Nevarre.
Lydia pages, "Nope, no secret! It gives you an extra border crossing, so if you crossed a border and then drank it, you could cross another border the same day." to you.
You page, "I also read somewhere the gifts can be kept in OOC lockers. If I disconnect while the potion's in inventory, I'll drop it, won't I?" to Lydia.
Nevarre pages, "I heard the whole story, I know what happened. Considering that, it wouldn't end well if you tried to rp with at least me" to you.
You page, "Speaking OOCly, what you heard isn't accurate if you think Snowback attacked Caily. It was the other way around, though there was verbal provocation. I have a log if you want to read it." to Nevarre.
Lydia pages, "No, you can keep it in your inventory. The OOC locker bit is if you go south and then east from the OOC lounge, you'll find the Silver Apple Marketplace, which has a locker tent where you can store things you buy with your SAs. All the characters on your account can access your locker, so you could give the potion to an alt if you wanted to." to you.
You page, "Thanks. I was wondering where the lockers were, but I did find the sliver apple market earlier, so I just didn't look hard enough. So I can just hold the potion until I want to use it?" to Lydia.
Nevarre pages, "I've seen the log, and I know what happened. I know she attacked first and there was verbal provocation. I'm just saying, I'm not the best person to rp with unless you want a lot of trouble" to you.
Nevarre pages, "then again, I'm the least civil and democratic character I can think of" to you.
Lydia pages, "Yup! They don't have any expiration date. :)" to you.
You page, "ICly Indra indicated there was still a possiblity I could join Ulfden. I realize it's not her decision. This is how I see things: OOCly, it was recommended that I join Ulfden when I created this character. I think that was primarily because I expressed interest in using the combat system, and the staff member I was talking to though being a member of Ulfden would provide the greatest chance for combat occurring...." to Nevarre.
You page, "Great. :)" to Lydia.
Nevarre pages, "It would, and I would still love to have you join. However, due to conduct, i.e. disrespecting the alpha both to his face and behind his back, as well as fighting a memeber of ulfden, there are a lot of walls that now need to be broken down before you would be able to join" to you.
You page, "I didn't plan it this way, but through the RP with you and Caily, Snowback's 'personality' has developed into one that is probably not an obvious fit with Ulfden, at least as far as the members I've met. (None of this is intended as criticism. You've got the right to RP your characters and run your pack however you want, and I have actually enjoyed the ICly tense scenes I've RPed with you and Caily.) Talking with Indra gave me the impression that there may be more room for diverse personalities in Ulfden than you and Caily give the impression, but at the same time, having explored a bit, I feel less motivated to join Ulfden than I did originally: I agree that ICly the path for Snowback to join Ulfden has become difficult, and as the character has developed it's become a bit of a stretch to think Snowback would be interested in joining at this point. There's also the option of Winterden, which wolves I have chatted with OOC but haven't had a chance to RP with yet, and even remaining a rogue is not
witho" to Nevarre.
You page, "Whoo! Taught that buffer a lesson!" to Nevarre.
You page-pose, "Snowback repeats the end of the novel-length page: ... remaining a rogue is not without its attractions. Caily proved I can still get combat experience without being a member of Ulfden." to Nevarre
You page, "I hope you understand that the matters of disrespect toward Nevarre and the fight with Caily aren't personal, but are choices I made to reflect the character not being very well socialized while growing up. I imagine Snowback was raise by his mother isolated from other wolf packs, so he doesn't know what behavior is wolf-socially acceptable. He does have normal instincts, 'understands' the benefits of belonging to a pack at some level, and I thing could become better socialized through exposure to other wolves and tutelage." to Nevarre.
You page, "However, whether or not a relationship between Snowback and Nevarre is ICly possible at this point is a big question, from both sides, I suspect." to Nevarre.

You can attempt to join winterden, though I intend to make them aware of the "rogue from the moors" as well. That line where you wanted to take Caileana as your "she-alpha" is going to make any skeptical of letting you join because they know that becoming an alpha is your goal. Being a rogue means you are not tied down by the rules of a pack, but wolves are pack animals and very few trust a rogue who is not part of a pack, especially one from the moors. Oh, don't worry. I don't take anything personally. You can try to join, but it won't be without pain, that is a guarentee" to you.
You page, "It sounds like we're on the same page. Concerning setting-up a den with Caily, Snowback's intention was actually pretty innocent, though I realized it would likely stir-up trouble. He made the same offer to Indra. A wolf Don Juan, except for striking-out twice. ;) ... My intention was to get together for an RP session with you and other Ulfdeners and 'have it out', with the expected result being either Snowback joining Ulfden, or deciding to strike out on his own and head south for eventual RP with Winterden (though Snowback wouldn't be thinking 'I'll go join Winterden')." to Nevarre.

Nevarre pages, "We'll try to have an rp, but it will have to wait until after the festivities. a confrontation would not be welcomed when everyone is trying to party" to you.
You page, "Like I said, it's unlikely I'll be around for the festivities. But if I am, it takes two to make a confrontation. ;) I've got to head to bed. Be seeing you." to Nevarre.
Nevarre pages, "alright, later" to you.
You hear the voice of Aslan speaking to you. "Come Child.. I am opening a door in the sky." With that, a great rift appears above and around you, like a tear in a large, blue piece of cloth. You step through and find yourself suddenly sitting at your computer. What an adventure it has been...
