This section of my gopherhole is a tribute to the text adventure
game Dunnet by Ron Schnell. I have constructed it in honor of the
influence text games and MUDs have had on my site design
philosophy, and to demonstrate Gopher's potential for being much
more than an information retrieval system.
I have simulated the opening section of the Dunnet dungeon as a
set of directories and text files with Gopher menus formatted by
my script tirph. You can't really play the game (at least not
yet), but you can wander the virtual world and look at the
locations and things laying about. Texts are copied from the
Emacs Lisp version of Dunnet.
For the real game, start Emacs and type "M-x dunnet".
