# ARC's Current Missions

## Training and Research for future competition in the Everglades Challenge

### 4 week expedition / adventure boat race

* Light boat / Small boat only
* Unsupported
* 300 endurance sail with checkpoints
* Training for longer sailing expeditions
* Minimize environmental impact


        The Everglades Challenge is a 300 mile endurance adventure race
       where participants row, or sail small boats from point to point
       through the everglades national concervation area, and without
       a predetermined route.  Contestents must follow all perscribed
       rule sets, and classificaiton guidelines.  This unsupported race
       tests each person and vessel in its capacity for the equivalant
       of a 4-week expedition, compressed into 1 week.



        The current proposed date for ARC entry into the EC race is 2025-2026.
