The ultra-intense mix of raging club bangers and horrific gabber passages
on Machine Girl's "WLFGRL" can sometimes seem like rave music had a bastard
child with Death Grips and trap music, with rattling hi-hats, relentless
percussion, and occassional samples. Definitely more accessible than his
other work like "Gemini" or "The Ugly Art", "WLFGRL" seems to be about a
girl becoming a werewolf. It's disorienting, thrilling, and can sometimes
seem like a typical 90's rave LP. If you just want to rage out to some
electronic beats and break some stuff in a club, blast this album.
