=====================================

Word on the street is Nokia is going to announce in late June 2011 a
new mobile computer device. It will be the N900 successor, with a
Linux based system that differs from the previous Maemo ones in having
lots of changes to make it more similar to MeeGo. Terminal application
will be installable from special repo, and you will be able to get
root via "sudo gainroot" command.

The device will have a metallic looking body, and sliding screen with
a hinge like N97 and E7. Keyboard has black separated keys, looking
like MacBook. Just exactly what can be seen in the leaked "Jessies'
Girl" video. It has a back 12MP autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss
optics and 28mm equivalent focal distance, and front-facing 600x480
camera. Will come preloaded with Skype application for video
calls. Screen is 3.5'' AMOLED with 1024x600 pixels resolution (340
dpi).

CPU is OMAP3640, and will come underclocked to 1.0 GHz at first. A
later update promised to December 25 2011 but only delivered in
February 30 2012 will move it to 1.2GHz. 512 MB RAM and 64GB internal
storage. SD card reader, USB port with USB on-the-go, bluetooth,
wi-fi, 3G, FM receiver and transmitter and NFC. The multi-touch screen
will have a new technology that tickles your nose if you put the phone
in your face and access Engadget and Mobile-Review with two different
browsers at the same time while watching a Sugababes or Rick
Springfield videoclip in Matroska file format with Finnish subtitles.
