Diversity and Inclusion is not as broadly adopted as you might think. UMG under represented minority groups, like black and poc, women, and trans people. Another group is older people. All of the UMG report much lower satisfaction with inclusion and diversity.

Lots of late arrivals are disruptive. It's not clear what is the solution. I think maybe having the speaker stand away from the door or soemthign might help. not sure if thas possible at this location.

Some Strategies for Organizing

1. Friendly one-on-one conversations. Keep it open ended like "What's the biggest challenge we are facing?"

--a. Forming action or solidarity groups - After you talk to enough people then you'll find some common themes. Keep a record and log  [ Date, topics, and people ]

--b. Changing hiring or firing practices. Can we improve diversity, is there burn out ?

--c. Rejecting unethical business partners

--d. Creating transparency
** How do you drive this kidn of behavior change without being seen as someone who is trying to be the boss or bing rude

--Strikes or slowdowns are the result of many hours of efforts and not s omething to do quickly.

So what can go wrong
1. Getting fired.  Retaliation is against the law and you have the law on your side.
US Labor relations act. - covers talking about pay and stuff

Almost ok trap -

Managers are not covered - so if you can hire, fire or promote someone you aren't protected
