This will be a little bit of a short one. I have been working
late though this week since we have guests. And today was
exceptionally late. Not like too too bad but enough that I wanted
to just go to sleep when I got home. So I lay down then I woke
with a start realizing that I'd forgotten to record tomorrow's
news show and make a gopher post.
Today was a decent workday. The out of towners leave tomorrow so
we get to say our goodbyes in the morning. I am happy we got this
time together. My frustrations yesterday were a lot less intense
today. The fire and the combustion was roaring in the background
but didn't escape the fire place.I keep using the analogy that
our department is a child that's been given a high powered sports
car and put onto the road in a busy city. No one seems to quite
grasp what I'm trying to convey.
The work products I was worried about producing yesterday were
not produced today as expected. On the other hand we did discuss
the topics at length and come to a consensus on what to do. I am
almost purely driven by consensus-based decision making. And it
amazes me that people make decisions any other way.
OK I'm pretty tired so I'll just leave it at this I'm glad that
the dictation software works for the most part. I just need to be
mindful of how much I'm talking, and when was the last time the
batch of text was updated.
