Today I've taken some time to migrate my gopherspace to sdf.
It's been a pretty smooth process so far, no doubt made easier
by the fact that I was also running gophernicus (the same gopher server)
on my old space.

So far, I think this is for the better. My previous provider
have had some really nasty issues with connectivity lately, and
there seems to be a lot more people concentrated here than
on a self-hosted service.

In other news, not much has happened during September so far.
I've been reading some interesting stuff; Harlan Ellisons "The Glass
Teat" for example. I also started reading "Dangerous Visions", an
anatologhy of speculative fiction from the mid/late 60s, edited by
Ellison. It also contains some intereesting pieces, and I enjoy
it so far.

In just a few days, I will leave for my vacation, which will
consist of traveling to Japan with a few friends. I've been before
a few years ago, but for some of the people joinging me, it's the
first time. We'll spend three weeks in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka.
I've just received a shipment of film, so I expect to do some
photography while there, and most of the time will probably be
spent trying out different variantions of the local cuisine and
beer. I'm a little nervious, but that is almost always the case
when it comes to travel for me, so it's all right.

I'll try to update this phlog a little more frequently later this
fall. Until then!
