keeping cool
               ------------------------------------------------------------

               chill kills -- heat kills -- chill in fever kills
               in chicago heat heat heat killed

               a damp suffocation a-go-go
               the coolest customers are now in the city morgue

               some barely in their forties
               more die of heat than of flood or tornado

               doing the dishes in a/c'ed reprieve am wondering
               who keeps their ice cream in the morgue
               someone who works there

               imitation vanilla -- genuine double chip chocolate --
               rocky road
