choosing does not obviate living
               ---------------------------------------------------------

               1

               it's calm here.
the once a few latenight train hobbles off.
               window open
window opens like a windows folder icon opens

               plateglass-looking out -- landscape-seeing within
               the city lights are vibrating

               the need for sleeping
               the touching the being touched
the pain of constant falling into
a new day -- the walking
               and constantly

               and how are you feeling?

               "i don't feel anything.
               it's very comfortable."

               i see -- it's also calm there.
i can see -- through the webcam.
               a brilliant new day
no longer in the earth's shadow
               yes.  a brilliant day.

               choosing does not obviate living
and the earth's shadow passed on

               2

foggy here.  the silver sheen of rain
the matte cloud grayly cups the city
our people are working not sleeping
               occasional grinding of carpentry
               frequenter train hobbling-offs

over there -- a ringing clear night
charmed street lamps princess calmly formally
i can nearly kiss one -- warm to lips --
               then draw as breath
               your pixelated sharp fresh air

               choosing does not obviate living
and the earth's shadow passed on
