30 November 2025: VICTORY FROM THE JAWS

In my last post I was very upset about a project I thought had hit the wall.

I am happy to report that a resolution has been found - and executed! I ended
up calling the intended recipient, and they helped me find a path forwards
with it. The first thing they said to me was, "First of all, please do not be
stressed about this. It's okay." They know me well...

So what happened with it was that I was able to save a piece of the original
project, actually the part of it I was most proud of. My friend has another
use for it, which is great. And, we're going to work together to come up with
a new design for the original intention, using a style and technique I am
worlds more confident in executing. One that makes me very happy and relaxed
to work with, rather than intensely focused to the point of stress. Winner,
winner: chicken dinner.

Separately, a different friend has encouraged me to go to therapy again. I
haven't been winning the battle on the mental health front, so it's time to
call in the bigger guns and face down what's at the root of this. I do know
what it is, but I haven't made much progress confronting it by myself.
Therapy has helped me very much in the past so in a funny sort of way, I'm
actually looking forward to getting in the mud and wrestling. Because I know
I will ultimately win that fight and come out stronger.

If you're reading this and are not sure if you also need to reach out to
someone, that's a sign that you should. I know you don't want to be a burden,
or cause people to worry. Or maybe you feel like no one would take it
seriously or be able to help even if they did want to. But, that's part of
the trap that comes with being in poor mental health. There ARE people out
there who will take it seriously and be able to help you. They might not be
the people you wish would be, but there ARE people out there. Finding them is
hard and takes a lot of effort and even risk, but they ARE out there, and
you ARE capable of finding them and asking them for the help you need.

Be well, friends.

Until the next one,
