My first content contribution to the gopherverse that isn't just
tweaking ascii page formats. I'm pretty new to Gopher, SDF and
well UNIX itself so it's been a learning experience these past
few days. Members of the SDF community have been super helpful
and patient with me, and I'd like to give a special shoutout to
@tomasino for all his guidance.

I really like the idea of this semi-private minimalist blogging
scene so I'm going to challenge myself to post at least a few
times a week and maybe I'll fall into a rhythm and establish
some topics and themes for posts. Naturally my first post is a
meta-post about blogging so it's a bit of write-off.

I very much see my experience with SDF being tied to my
experience on Mastodon and my burgeoning FOSS and IndieWeb
world so I'd like to try and keep those spaces networked
together.

I'm sure once I get to grips with this place and learn a few
more tricks I'll just back into some of these earlier posts
and make quality of life improvements but for now I'm happy
to just be putting words onto a page and being a part of this
unique community.
