* <<F4D.1077>> Drafting complexity
It's funny -- I love living in the city, I love cities visually; I
love streets and signs and power lines and streetlights, windows and
doors and manhole covers and cars and garbage -- I just love the
visual qualities of dense, urban landscape.
But I hate drawing it.
I like drawing discrete forms, I like drawing objects. You don't get
objects in the city, you get fragments, facets, overlaps and
interference; everything is occulted; the city is a ~field~.
