* <<F2S.1294>> Information Doesn't Want To Be Free

I've just begun reading Cory Doctorow's new book. My first reaction,
though, is not to Doctorow, but to Amanda Palmer's foreword; the
message I'm hearing is: the artist's proper place in society is that
of the mendicant or the monk; give away all that you produce -- alms
are ample and your belly will be full with the generosity of
strangers!

Which, of course, is complete horseshit.
