Well the good thing about direct experience, is that it's
instantly available 24/7 just by waking up. But it's not too
hard thankfully. a) remind yourself that you're looking at a
piece of glass (or plastic) right now. b) Move your head up and
to the left and look as far away from the screen as you can.
There. How to do it for others? Remind them of other things that
exist that aren't media. I'm grateful for media: the Internet is
a part of it. You and I are participating in a rather freer
media than one-way TV but still, its part of it. I suppose what
I'd go after would be more specific than media: a) advertisors
b) news to start with.
