be, since 1989.
Arguing with logical fallacies doesn't work. I tried it for
three months in 1993 on Usenet. Seemed like fun. But all it was
is a "haha we took them down" group in what used to be called a
"flame war" and nothing changed. Got old. The fallacy chart is
useless except among people who believe in the veracity of the
fallacy chart. For anybody else, it's just a ridiculous chart
and most people who use them are assholes who hardly even use
the chart much and spend most of the time mocking in some way.
It's heckling to get Likes from their friends, rarely a
reasonable discourse from those who use it. You may believe
the bullshit but I don't think you do. It's a fun game to pass
the time, but it's nothing close to reason or discussion.
