^I'm thankful for the simple things. So many times we surround
  ourselves with so many complications that the complications end
  up ruling our emotions, making us happy or sad, frustrated or
  giddy or melonchaly or mad. But being thankful for simple things
  - everyday things - thankful for the Yes's and even for the No's
  in your life: Then you can learn to find peace on a moment to
  moment. Learning to generate gratitude within yourself is the
  best way to do that. Always say thanks - to yourself, to those
  around you, and to whatever it is that for you is bigger than
  you.^
